| Sean Wherley joined the LCV San Diego board in 2008, and brings a long record of public policy and communications experience in the government and non-profit sectors. Currently, Sean is a speechwriter and handles media relations for State Senator Christine Kehoe. Before moving to San Diego in 2006, Sean spent five years overseeing communications and lobbying efforts for the Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness in Minneapolis; and three years managing policy issues in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, U.S. Representative Bart Stupak, and the National Conference of State Legislatures.
In his free time, Sean enjoys reading, hiking, playing basketball and softball, traveling, and cooking. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, and hails from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. |
