Melanie McCutchan Biography |

Melanie McCutchan joined the Board of the League of Conservation Voters San Diego in 2005, and currently serves as the chair of the south San Diego elections sub-committee. She works as a researcher for Environmental Health Coalition, a non-profit organization that has worked for over 26 years to promote environmental justice in the San Diego/Tijuana region. In this capacity, Melanie performs research and policy analysis on a number of environmental and public health issues, primarily in the areas of air quality, sustainable energy, and climate change. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with degrees in Environmental Sciences and Economics. Melanie has been involved in environmental advocacy, organizing, and education as a student, professional, and volunteer for over 10 years. She spends much of her free time enjoying San Diego's natural beauty as a surfer and outdoor enthusiast.
