| Alonso Gonzalez has worked with the San Diego City Council since 2001. He has served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Councilmember Ben Hueso since 2006. Alonso is the committee consultant to the City’s Land Use and Housing Commission and works closely with the California Coastal Commission. Alonso earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University. His involvement on environmental issues began during his term as Associated Students Vice President and as member of the Environmental Affairs Board in Santa Barbara. He currently serves on the Border View YMCA’s Board of Directors. |
