Colin Parent Biography

Colin Parent is an attorney in San Diego specializing in commercial litigation, antitrust and political law. He is a 2007 graduate of NYU Law School, where he received the Vanderbilt Medal for outstanding service to the School of Law. Parent founded the San Diego lawyer's chapter of the American Constitution Society, a national organization dedicated to advancing a progressive view of law and policy.

While in law school, Parent served on the steering committee that founded the National Democratic Law Students Council and he c-chaired their second annual convention in New York City. Also in law school, Prent interned for the New York City Apollo Alliance, an organization dedicated to energy independence, green technology, and good job growth. As an undergraduate student at the University of California, San Diego, Mr. Parent founded the Ropes Challenge Course on the campus of UCSD, and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Muir Quarterly satire newspaper.

In 2004 Parent served as Campaign Coordinator for Christine Kehoe for State Senate. He also worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2004 for Stephanie Herseth's successful election to the South Dakota House seat.
